Commerce Ministry approves new structure to boost efficiency and service quality

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced today, the approval of its new organizational structure, under Ministerial Decision No. 160 of 2025, issued by Minister Khalifa Al-Ajil.
The restructure includes the creation the positions of two assistant undersecretary and reorganization of departments to feature seven general managers, to improve the Ministry’s performance and service delivery.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Ministry affirmed that this move aligns with the Cabinet’s directives to modernize the government apparatus and raise institutional efficiency.
The updated structure is designed to redistribute responsibilities, streamline internal operations, and foster better coordination across sectors.
The new framework also supports the Ministry’s digital transformation goals, integrates modern business technologies, and emphasizes the empowerment of national talent, contributing to a dynamic and developmental work environment.
Officials highlighted that this reform stems from a comprehensive technical and organizational study, in line with Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1979 and related civil service regulations.
The next phase includes developing organizational manuals, updating internal procedures, and launching training programs to enhance workforce readiness and implement the structure effectively.
