Egypt’s Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Osama Shaltout, expressed sincere gratitude to the Kuwaiti authorities — particularly the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior — for their cooperation and logistical support in facilitating the 2025 Egyptian Senate elections for citizens abroad.
The voting process, held on Friday and Saturday at the Egyptian Embassy in Daiya, saw strong participation from the Egyptians living in Kuwait.
The Egyptian envoy emphasized that the embassy operated in full coordination with Kuwaiti officials to ensure smooth operations, highlighting Kuwait’s longstanding support for its Arab neighbors, reports Al-Rai daily.
Polling began at 9 a.m. Friday under Ambassador Shaltout’s direct supervision, with assistance from Egypt’s diplomatic and consular staff.
The embassy provided free transportation during the polling process which concluded at 9 p.m. Saturday, as scheduled by Egypt’s National Elections Authority.
Ambassador Shaltout and mission staff were among the first to cast their ballots, encouraging the community to actively participate. The strong turnout, marked by order and discipline, reflected the community’s commitment to civic engagement and the democratic process.
