Interior Ministry arrests 31 persons during nationwide anti-drug sweep
Over 19 kg of Drugs, 25,000 Lyrica pills, firearms, ammo, and drug tools seized

The General Department for Drug Control of the Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of 31 persons during a series of intensive security operations across Kuwait.
The suspects include Kuwaiti citizens, residents of Arab and Asian nationalities, and stateless persons or the so-called bedoun for involvement in drug trafficking and possession.
Public Relations and Security Media department of the Ministry said significant quantity of drugs has been confiscated — 5.35 kg of shabu (methamphetamine); 3.8 kg of marijuana, 1 kg of heroin, 273 grams of cocaine, 750 grams of chemical substances, 500 ml of chemical oil, 25,000 Lyrica capsules, 2,000 psychotropic pills and 250 packs of Lyrica powder.
Security personnel also seized eight firearms, live ammunition, 17 sensitive digital scales, and a quantity of empty packaging materials.
All suspects and confiscated items have been referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for further legal action.
