Customs chief reaffirms commitment to enhancing work environment

Fatima Al-Qallaf, Director General of the Kuwait General Administration of Customs, reaffirmed her continued commitment to improving the work environment and supporting customs staff to carry out their duties more efficiently. Her remarks followed an inspection tour of key customs facilities conducted on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the Customs Department, the visit is part of ongoing efforts to monitor field operations, ensure operational readiness, and address any challenges faced at customs sites, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Qallaf visited Doha Port, along with the Al Sheraa and Amghara warehouses. During her tour, she reviewed daily workflows, received updates on inspection equipment and system enhancements, and observed the implementation of recent operational improvements.
She also met with field inspectors to hear their observations and demands firsthand. Al-Qallaf reiterated her support for initiatives that aim to improve working conditions and raise overall performance across customs operations.
Her visit underscores the department’s focus on field engagement, transparency, and continuous improvement of services and infrastructure at vital customs locations.
