His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, attended the Bastille Day military parade this morning on the Champs-Élysées, marking France’s National Day with a grand ceremonial display featuring widespread participation by the French Armed Forces.
The parade commenced at the Arc de Triomphe, proceeding down the iconic boulevard toward the main viewing platform at Place de la Concorde, where His Highness stood alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, members of the French government, Prime Minister François Bayrou, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, and a host of international dignitaries, reports news agencies.
This year’s event showcased more than 7,000 participants, including 5,600 troops on foot, over 100 aircraft, 250 motorized vehicles, and 200 horses from the prestigious Republican Guard.
A notable feature of the parade was the special participation by Indonesia, which sent a delegation of more than 400 military personnel, highlighting growing defense cooperation between Paris and Jakarta.
The Élysée Palace noted that this year’s celebrations coincided with the 100th anniversaries of both the Blois de France Foundation and the Flame Committee. President Macron used the occasion to present a new ceremonial sword, symbolically honoring France’s military heritage.
The parade also paid tribute to the role of French youth, with a dedicated segment designed to promote national values and civic spirit among the country’s younger generations.
