Ministry of Social Affairs lays out strategic vision to enhance social services

As part of its commitment to improving efficiency and upgrading social services, the Ministry of Social Affairs held an expanded meeting led by Acting Undersecretary Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi with directors and supervisors from the Social Welfare and Development Sector.

The session focused on developing a unified vision for improving institutional performance and meeting the needs of the ministry’s beneficiaries, reports Al-Jarida daily.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ajmi stressed the importance of integrating the roles of different departments and supervisory bodies within the sector.

He called for intensified field and administrative efforts and the development of new work mechanisms aligned with the state’s developmental goals and the public’s aspirations for more inclusive and higher-quality services.

“The Ministry is advancing its modernization efforts by reassessing existing methodologies and fostering stronger partnerships across departments,” said Al-Ajmi. “Our goal is to institutionalize our work and deliver a meaningful and lasting social impact.”

He added that the next phase will require team-driven work, the use of field expertise, and the development of programs and action plans that promote social justice and provide a comprehensive service environment that reflects the Ministry’s responsibility to the people it serves.

Al-Ajmi concluded by reaffirming the Ministry’s full support for social work initiatives and its dedication to supplying the necessary resources to ensure the success of its programs.

He emphasized that the Ministry’s strategy centers on people and reflects a belief that social care is a shared national duty.
