Govt pushes for greater interagency coordination to accelerate housing projects

In a high-level meeting of the Housing Projects Coordination Committee, key government officials emphasized the urgent need for closer coordination among service ministries to speed up the development of housing cities and their related public services.
The meeting brought together Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Abdullatif Al-Mishari, and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Government Performance Follow-up Agency and other relevant authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.
The ministers stressed their collective commitment to implementing royal directives aimed at overcoming bureaucratic delays and unifying institutional efforts.
They underscored the importance of removing obstacles and facilitating smoother cooperation between ministries in order to achieve timely delivery of infrastructure and services in new residential areas.
The Kuwait Municipality reiterated its support for the national housing strategy, pledging to enhance coordination through land allocations, planning routes for various projects, and ensuring cohesive urban development.
The officials agreed that unified efforts among all stakeholders are essential to accelerating progress and meeting the growing demand for housing in the country.
