Secondary Education Control Center ensures fair, accurate grading

The Ministry of Education’s General Secondary Education Control Center continues to function as an integrated and highly coordinated unit to manage the correction and grading of twelfth-grade exams.

Over the weekend, correction committees worked diligently to finalize grading for the English language exams in both the science and literature tracks, as well as the Arabic language exam for religious education students.

Maryam Al-Enezi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, explained the process: once exam boxes arrive, papers are sorted and student names are replaced with civil ID numbers to ensure anonymity. Any papers with suspicious markings are set aside, and then answer sheets are categorized by secret numbers before correction begins.

Speaking to Al-Akhbar Channel, Al-Enezi reassured students and their families that operations are proceeding smoothly despite regional unrest. “Initial results are promising, and the exam questions are well-suited to student levels and individual differences,” she noted.

Acting General Technical Supervisor of Social Studies, Mohammed Al-Otaibi, echoed her confidence. He emphasized that each student will receive what they deserve thanks to a rigorous correction process involving multiple reviewers and monitors. He also confirmed that the exams were prepared in line with ministry-approved standards and were accessible to all students.

The Ministry’s efforts underscore its commitment to maintaining the integrity, fairness, and quality of the educational process—even under challenging circumstances.
