Customs efforts continue to ensure smooth trade without compromising security

Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Fatima Al-Qallaf, has emphasized on the need to enhance coordination among all customs departments and to persist in efforts that ensure the seamless movement of trade while upholding customs security standards.
Her remarks came during an inspection tour she carried out along with Deputy Director General for Investigation and Monitoring, Sami Al-Kandari.
The tour included visits to the Land Customs Department, the Vegetable Market, and the Customs Antiquities Department.
The purpose of the visit was to assess operational procedures related to the entry and exit of goods, evaluate the preparedness of customs facilities, and monitor the performance and efficiency of inspectors responsible for inspection and control tasks.
Customs authorities affirmed that such visits are part of broader efforts to support Kuwait’s trade infrastructure, improve workflow, and reinforce the security framework that protects the country’s borders without disrupting commercial activities.
