Citizenship withdrawal requests now accessible via Sahel platform

The Ministry of Interior has announced the launch of a new electronic service through the unified government e-services platform, “Sahel,” allowing users to submit and inquire about requests related to the withdrawal of citizenship in accordance with Article 8.

In an official press release, the Ministry stated that the initiative reflects its ongoing efforts to simplify procedures and offer modern digital communication channels to the public, ensuring swift response times and efficient follow-up.

To submit a request, users are advised to log into the “Sahel” application, select the “Communicate” service, choose “Enter a new request,” and then navigate to “Ministry of Interior – Article 8 Requests.” Applicants can then specify the request type, complete the required information and submit the form.

The Ministry also noted that inquiries and follow-up requests can be made using the following numbers: 97293232, 97283232, 97284747, and 97283535, available from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
