Municipality evacuates 107 charity branches from residential areas in 18 days

Kuwait Municipality teams evacuated 107 charity association branches operating in private residential areas over an 18-day campaign that began on May 8.
The move follows a directive banning the use of residential properties for non-housing purposes, reports Al-Rai daily.
Meanwhile, specialized inspection teams from all six governorates carried out field tours, issuing 122 warnings and enforcing evictions in coordination with property owners.
Key actions included:
- Ahmadi (May 8): 15 warnings issued; full evacuation completed.
- Farwaniya (May 12): 33 notices issued; evacuation completed.
- Jahra (May 18): 8 warnings, 4 violations, 7 evacuations.
- Hawalli (May 19): 7 warnings; complete evacuation.
- Mubarak Al-Kabeer (May 22): 15 warnings; evacuation completed.
- Capital Governorate (May 26): 40 notices issued, 30 evacuations, 10 final warnings.
The Municipality emphasized that legal action will be taken against violators in line with its regulations.
