MEW mulls possibility of temporarily cutting power supply to agricultural, industrial areas

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has announced the possibility of temporarily cutting off power supply to certain parts of agricultural and industrial areas.

This measure, according to Al-Jarida daily, is due to the increasing electrical loads and the need to carry out essential maintenance on some power generation units in preparation for their full operation during the peak summer period.

In a statement, the ministry clarified that these power cuts are part of precautionary steps aimed at ensuring the overall stability and reliability of the national electricity grid.

The ministry emphasized that maintaining grid stability is a top priority, especially during periods of high demand, and that these temporary disruptions are necessary to safeguard the efficiency and continuity of power supply across the country.
