Kuwait determined to enforce law and order, carries out sweeping security campaigns
Between May 11 and 18, 823 individuals arrested; 1,084 deported

The Residence Affairs Investigations Department, as part of its intensified efforts to uphold security and enforce labor regulations, carried out a series of sweeping inspection campaigns across various governorates.
The operations, according to Al-Jarida daily, conducted in coordination with the Public Authority for Manpower, the Kuwait Municipality, and the Kuwait Fire Force, targeted multiple areas particularly the Shuwaikh Industrial, Amghara, and Na’ayem Scrap industrial zones.
Between May 11 and 18, the daily said, 823 individuals were taken into custody for violating labor and residence laws.
In addition to the arrests, the Ministry of Interior reported the deportation of 1,084 violators during the same period. These deportations were carried out in cooperation with the Department of Deportation and Detention Affairs, following the completion of all necessary legal procedures and coordination with shelters operated by the Public Authority for Manpower.
The Ministry affirmed that such campaigns will continue with full force, with the objective of arresting all violators and ensuring compliance with the country’s legal and regulatory frameworks. Authorities stressed that legal accountability applies not only to the workers but also to the employers who facilitate or turn a blind eye to these violations.
These coordinated efforts reflect Kuwait’s firm stance on maintaining public order, regulating the labor market, and curbing illegal residency practices.
