MPW begins major maintenance works on Al-Abdali Road

Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, has announced the commencement of comprehensive maintenance works on Al-Abdali Road as part of a new series of contracts dedicated to the maintenance of both highways and internal roads across Kuwait.

Dr. Al-Mashaan confirmed that this initiative is one of 18 major tenders covering all six governorates. The project aims to improve road efficiency and enhance safety standards in line with international engineering benchmarks, reports Al-Rai daily.

She emphasized that both comprehensive and periodic maintenance works contribute to extending the lifespan of infrastructure, reducing the future need for full reconstruction, promoting sustainability, and ultimately lowering long-term costs.

In this context, Engineer Eid Al-Rasheedi, supervisor of the Al-Abdali Road project, stated that technical teams have started laying a new asphalt layer (Type 3).

He noted that the project is proceeding according to a well-planned schedule and under direct supervision to ensure adherence to quality standards and approved specifications.
