Public Works Ministry launches major road maintenance in Fahad Al-Ahmad

As part of its comprehensive efforts to rehabilitate Kuwait’s roads network, the Ministry of Public Works has launched extensive maintenance work in the Fahad Al-Ahmad area.
This initiative falls under a broader plan that includes 18 road development projects across various governorates, aligned with the goals of the “New Kuwait 2035” Vision, reports Annahar daily.
Engineer Mohammed Raei Al-Fahma, a member of the supervisory team for Contract No. 15 in the Ahmadi Governorate – First Zone, confirmed that field teams from the Ministry are actively carrying out intensive road maintenance in Block 1 of Fahad Al-Ahmad. He noted that the work involves applying a high-quality asphalt layer, specifically “Type 3,” in line with the ministry’s approved technical standards.
In parallel, Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Al-Kandari, from the same supervisory team, indicated that similar maintenance activities are underway in several other areas. These include Al-Mangaf (Blocks 4 and 1) and major roads in the Aqila area, notably Street 245 and Mohammed Saif Al-Barrak Street.
He added that infrastructure cleaning and preparatory work is also ongoing in the Raqqa and Hadiya areas, as part of efforts to ensure the sustainability and safety of the road network.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing infrastructure quality and achieving long-term development goals in line with Kuwait’s national vision.
