Kuwait committed to sustainable future and diverse income streams

• His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah praised the historic friendship between Kuwait and the friendly Federal Republic of Germany, expressing appreciation for the constructive cooperation and shared vision that continue to strengthen these distinguished relations.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, represented by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, attended a ceremony in Stuttgart, Germany, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the partnership between the State of Kuwait and Mercedes-Benz AG, according to Arabic daily Al Jarida.

His Highness was accompanied at the celebration by His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Tariq Sulaiman Al-Roumi; His Excellency the Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; the Governor of the Central Bank, Basil Ahmed Al-Haroun; His Excellency the Undersecretary for Financial, Administrative and Communication Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Diwan, Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-KhaledAl-Sabah; His Excellency the Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah; Her Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Federal Republic of Germany, Reem Mohammed Al-Khaled; Head of the Kuwait Investment Office in London, Abdulmohsen AbdulazizAl-Mukhaizeem; His Excellency the Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Frankfurt, Adel Ahmed Al-Ghunaiman; members of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Investment Authority; and senior officials at the Prime Minister’s Diwan.

His Highness the Prime Minister visited the Mercedes-Benz Group factory facilities, where he was briefed on the group’s future plans, the latest vehicle models, their manufacturing stages, and the various production lines.

Kuwait’s relationship with the Mercedes-Benz Group spans more than five decades

His Highness the Prime Minister stated that Kuwait’s relationship with the Mercedes-Benz Group—spanning more than five decades—represents a model of successful economic partnership and trade and investment cooperation built on a solid foundation of trust and mutual respect.

He also affirmed his commitment to further strengthening and developing this strategic partnership in line with the country’s ambitious “Kuwait Vision 2035,” which aims to transition to a sustainable economy with diversified income sources and ensure a prosperous future for the State of Kuwait.
