Former MP Saleh Al-Mulla sentenced to 2 years imprisonment on “state security” charges

The Criminal Court sentenced former MP Saleh Al-Mulla to two years of hard labor imprisonment on charges of undermining national security. Earlier, the Public Prosecution had released Al-Mulla on a bail of 1,000 dinars after investigating him for allegedly challenging the authority of His Highness the Amir and misusing his phone through a tweet posted on his X account last May. Despite the charges, Al-Mulla denied any wrongdoing.
