H.H. the Amir, reaffirms commitment to security, military modernization and accountability

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, emphasized that security and stability are fundamental to development and progress, highlighting that their true value is only fully understood by those who have experienced their absence.

During his visit to the Ministry of Defense (Jewan), accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, His Highness the Supreme Commander reaffirmed that the Kuwaiti army is the nation’s steadfast shield, safeguarding its independence, security, and stability.

Importantly, His Highness the Amir, emphasized his commitment to enhancing the efficiency and capabilities of the armed forces, ensuring they keep pace with advancements in armament and military technology according to the highest standards.

His Highness the Amir was warmly welcomed by Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Mishaal, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Pilot Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad.

Furthermore, His Highness the Amir, expressed confidence in the capabilities and readiness of the Kuwaiti army, as well as in the leadership of Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah, during this critical period. His Highness emphasized the importance of continuing reforms with determination and accountability, reinforcing transparency, upholding justice and neutrality, and ensuring the highest levels of preparedness for the armed forces.

His Highness the Amir, emphasized the importance of military education to ensure the armed forces’ preparedness for future challenges. He also stressed the need to safeguard military cyberspace, protect digital systems, and enhance expertise in cybersecurity and data protection.

While visiting the General Presidency of the National Guard, His Highness the Amir, accompanied by the Crown Prince and Acting Prime Minister, was received by Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Al-Humoud, Deputy Chief Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf, and Undersecretary Lieutenant General Engineer Hashem Al-Rifai.

His Highness the Amir, in his speech, expressed pride in the National Guard as both an institution and its personnel, commending its commitment to corporate governance. He highlighted the importance of implementing development policies while upholding integrity, accountability, and the rule of law.

His Highness the Amir, instructed the leaders and officers of the National Guard to stay updated with the latest technologies, foster innovation, and modernize camp infrastructure to meet international standards.

Moreover, His Highness the Amir, emphasized about expanding joint exercises and expertise exchange with military and security agencies locally and internationally while advancing efforts to introduce vertical aviation into the National Guard to support military, security, and civilian operations.
