AI companies continue to attract investments

Despite the slowdown in venture capital investments globally, artificial intelligence companies continued to attract investments and raised $50 billion in investment capital this year, with a growth of more than 70% over five years, while these companies last year raised about $45 billion in investments.

But it is still less than the record amount of funding that the sector received in 2021 at $78.5 billion, as the focus of financing startups in artificial intelligence shifts from the early stages to more mature companies, and this activity reflects the potential that artificial intelligence holds to serve various sectors, from health care. and finance to manufacturing and logistics, reports Al-Anba daily.

Experts believe that with venture capital funds pumping billions into emerging artificial intelligence companies, the industry could witness further growth in the coming years.

The value of the global AI industry has doubled in three years to reach $240 billion, with a quarter of a billion users worldwide.

Listed companies that invested in the sector achieved a significant jump in their share prices, with the Nasdaq index jumping by more than 40% since the beginning of the year, supported by the hype around generative artificial intelligence and the startup OpenAI.
