Cyprus congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days
On the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the 64th Anniversary of the National Day and the 34th Anniversary of the Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as on my own behalf, I have the great honor and pleasure to convey to His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Government and the friendly people of Kuwait, our warmest congratulations and best wishes.
Cyprus and Kuwait, two moderate and like-minded countries, that have both suffered from the painful and traumatic experience of invasion and occupation, and which strongly support the primacy of international law and the adherence to the UN Charter, share a long-standing tradition of friendship and close cooperation at both bilateral and international levels.
Our bilateral relations have been evolving in recent years, providing a solid foundation on which we can build upon, so as to further deepen our close cooperation not only on the political sphere, but also in an array of other areas such as economy and investment, tourism, trade, energy, education and technology. As Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the State of Kuwait, it is my strong belief that the excellent relations between Cyprus and Kuwait will be further enhanced and developed in the years ahead, for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples.
As I share the joy and happiness on this glorious occasion with the people of Kuwait, I would also like to take this opportunity and wish His Highness good health, long life and happiness, and to the friendly people of Kuwait continuous progress, peace and prosperity, under His wise and visionary leadership.
