2,736 Traffic violators issued tickets and 31 arrested in Salmiya Security Campaign
The Ministry of Interior conducted a comprehensive security and traffic campaign in Salmiya yesterday, Friday, resulting in the issuance of 2,736 traffic tickets and the arrest of 31 wanted persons and violators.
The General Department of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry stated in a press statement today, Saturday, that the campaign was conducted under the presence and field supervision of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, H.E. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef. The campaign also involved the participation of the Traffic and Operations Sector and the Private Security Sector.
The results of the campaign included issuing 2,736 traffic tickets and arresting 7 wanted persons on charges of absconding, two individuals without identification, and another who did not have a driving license at all.
The Ministry stated that 10 persons wanted by arrest warrants were also apprehended, along with 11 individuals violating residency and labor laws, 28 vehicles, and 5 motorcycles that were wanted by the judiciary. Additionally, 10 vehicles and motorcycles in violation were impounded.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that these campaigns are part of its plan to enhance security, arrest violators, and maintain order to ensure a safe and stable environment in the country.
