Minister Al-Mashaan: Extensive road maintenance in Al-Ahmadi Governorate under new contracts

The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mashaan, has directed the commencement of extensive road maintenance in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, as part of new contracts for high-speed and internal road works. This initiative includes 18 major road maintenance projects across various regions in all six governorates.
Dr. Al-Mashaan explained that the maintenance work will begin in the most affected areas, followed by less impacted ones. The process will include strict control, supervision, and follow-up to ensure all roads are modified and well maintained.
Additionally, Dr. Al-Mashaan stated that teams from the Ministry of Works will oversee the maintenance work’s implementation. She also highlighted that a committee has been formed to select supervising engineers, with tests conducted to ensure effective management of the projects.
Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized the importance of coordination to address outstanding road maintenance issues. She called for the prompt completion of all work, ensuring it meets the required quality, efficiency, in accordance with the approved technical specifications and commitment to the promised schedule.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Mashaan urged the public to be patient and cooperate with the relevant authorities, particularly as some roads will be closed for maintenance work in the upcoming period.
Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized that road maintenance and repair are top priorities for the country’s political leadership, commending the support of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince for these projects, which are crucial for achieving a robust infrastructure under the “New Kuwait 2035” plan.
For his part, the Supervisor of the Radical Maintenance of Road Works, Eng. Abdullah Al-Kandari, emphasized the Ministry of Works’ commitment in ensuring safety of rain drainage lines through cleaning and repairs.
Al-Kandari mentioned that work will soon begin in the Aquila area and urged local residents to cooperate to ensure timely completion of the project.
