Vibrant stories, emotions unfold at ‘Generation of Artists’ exhibition by Elito Bou Chaaya
The exhibition, hosted by artist Elito Bou Chaaya, showcased expressions brought to life through vibrant colors and diverse artistic techniques, featuring works by four talented female artists: Taline Farha, Nour Andros, Daida Josel, and Laura Zebian.

Artist Elito Bou Chaaya, in partnership with the Regency Hotel, hosted the second art exhibition, “Generation of Artists”.
The exhibition showcased stories, emotions, and expressions brought to life through vibrant colors and diverse artistic techniques, featuring works by four talented female artists which include Taline Farha, Nour Andros, Daida Josel, and Laura Zebian, according to Al Jarida newspaper.
The event was attended by various ambassadors, including the Vietnamese ambassador, the European Union ambassador, the Greek ambassador, and the Portuguese consul, as well as parents who expressed admiration for the displayed works.
On this occasion, Bou Chaaya stated that the exhibition aims to highlight the diversity and innovation in the works of the participating artists, who trained under his guidance through several specialized art workshops. Now at a professional level, their progress is a source of pride. He noted that the exhibition reflects beautiful artistic visions and personal experiences, depicting their realities.
The artists explored Lebanese life, with some emphasizing that war cannot negatively impact culture. Their message, conveyed through their chosen themes, is one of love for the world, looking to the future with hope and peace.
He added that the exhibited works stand out for their variety, encompassing a range of styles and techniques that reflect each artist’s personality.
Regarding why he named the exhibition “Generation of Artists,” Bou Chaaya explained that, in an era of rapid transformation in art and culture, creating a new generation of fine artists is a priority for societies. He highlighted that fine arts are a form of expression of a nation’s cultural and historical identity and play an important role in fostering creative thinking and promoting aesthetic values.
Bou Chaaya concluded by thanking the Artists’ and Media Syndicate for their encouragement and moral support.
The exhibition featured works from the artists, starting with Laura, who presented two paintings that expressed Lebanon’s heritage. One depicted pottery, while the other showed three coffee cups, each symbolizing an essential aspect of Lebanese identity.
Laura explained that heritage painting is an art form that reflects the history and culture of people, carrying stories and traditions from ancestors. She began painting in 2020 and plans to continue, driven by her passion for this field.
Artist Taline shared that she has been painting since childhood. She presented a single painting inspired by the French Impressionist Claude Monet. The painting depicted a Lebanese lake adorned with lotus flowers, creating a magical scene. Using acrylic paints, she explained that lotus flowers symbolize beauty and purity in many cultures. She highlighted Lebanon’s natural landmarks, such as Qaraoun Lake and Angar Lake, as inspirations for her work.
Nour, another participating artist, showcased a single painting of a Lebanese house. She emphasized that traditional Lebanese homes are among the country’s most significant cultural landmarks, reflecting its history and identity. These houses are characterized by unique designs and architecture that combine Eastern and Western influences, showcasing Lebanon’s cultural diversity.
Nour mentioned that she began painting in 2021 and primarily works with acrylics and watercolors. She loves painting nature, as it offers rich and inspiring subjects across artistic eras. Nour admires many global artists, including Vincent van Gogh.
Lastly, artist Daida Josel displayed two paintings, one of which illustrated the impact of social media on our lives. She shared that she started painting a year ago and quickly fell in love with it, seeing art as a universal language for self-expression. For her, art is an unparalleled joy, providing a broad space to express emotions and ideas in ways that words cannot.
