Sejong Culture Academy hold Korean Calligraphy Class
The ‘Sejong Culture Academy – Korean Language Calligraphy Class’ was held at the Kuwait University (KU) on November 4, and at the ‘Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the State of Kuwait, on November 5.
The Korean Embassy, in collaboration with KU and the King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF), organized this meaningful cultural event, which is a program developed by KSIF to provide people in Kuwait, with professional Korean cultural courses.
Moreover, a Korean calligraphy expert, Min-yong Park, visited Kuwait to conduct the calligraphy courses, engaging university students and the general public alike, who showed interest in the Korean language and culture.
Furthermore, while delivering the congratulatory speech, H.E. Chong-suk Park, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the State of Kuwait, emphasized that calligraphy can serve as a cultural bridge between Arabic and Korean Language.
Similarly, H.E. Park expressed that the participants would gain deeper interest in the Korean language and culture through this course. In this calligraphy event, participants ranged between the age group that included as young as 10 years old, to 50 years.
In addition to this, the participants especially big fans of Korean culture, shared that they found the calligraphy course to be incredibly beneficial and expressed that they were able to learn a new perspective on the Korean language.
