Kuwait and Saudi sign cooperation agreement to enhance health training and medical collaboration

The Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations signed today, Tuesday, a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, aiming to enhance health training and qualify medical personnel.
This came on the sidelines of the Institute’s participation in the activities of the Global Health Forum 2024, which was hosted by Riyadh from October, 21 to 24.
The Ministry of Health in a statement mentioned that Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Acting Secretary-General of the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties, signed the agreement on behalf of Kuwaiti.
Whereas, Dr. Aws Al-Shamsan, Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, signed this agreement on behalf of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry explained that the agreement aims to strengthen coordination between the two countries and simultaneously exchange expertise in the field of health education and training, which will contribute in raising efficiency of medical personnel.
On a significant insight, the agreement includes joint coordination in professional licensing examinations for the specialties of human medicine and dentistry, in an effort to improve the quality of health services in both countries and enhance leadership in this field.
