New vehicles get three year break before first and second inspections

The General Department of Traffic has announced that new private vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, will now undergo their first technical inspection three years after licensing, instead of two, according to Al Rai newspaper.

The department added that vehicles will undergo a second technical inspection three years after the first one, followed by a third inspection two years after the second. It indicated that vehicles will be subject to annual technical inspections after these periods, totaling eight years.
