The workshop on “Contractor Success Series – Navigating Registrations and Opportunities” focused on educating vendors about the registration process and compliance requirements essential for successful project execution.

The AmCham Kuwait hosted a workshop titled Contractor Success Series Navigating Registrations and Opportunitieson September 29.

The event featured speakers from the 386th ECONS, the Joint Contingency Contracting System (JCCS) team, the ASG-KU Host Nations Commander, and members of the AmCham Kuwait Board.

The workshop focused on educating vendors about the registration process and compliance requirements essential for successful project execution.

Key highlights of the event:

SAM registration: The Contracting Officer from the 386th ECONS explained the importance of the System for Award Management (SAM) for contractors seeking contracts over $30,000. He covered user roles, the registration process, common issues, and provided insights into NCAGE codes, entity validation, and unique entity IDs.

WAWF overview: The speaker provided insights into the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system, a secure web-based platform for electronic invoicing and receipt submissions, and shared resources for online training.

GPC program: Attendees received a briefing on the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program, its applications, and the vendor certification process for compliance.

JCCS registration: Mr. Douglas Dunn offered a step-by-step guide to registering in the Joint Contingency Contracting System (JCCS).

Installation Access Application: The NCOIC from Installation Access at the 386th ESFS explained the Installation Access Application (IAA) process, including the requirements for DBIDS screening.

CTIP compliance: Mr. Douglas Hurst emphasized the importance of Combating Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) efforts, highlighting the need for annual compliance certification and the remediation process for violations.

This workshop offered vendors essential guidance to effectively navigate key processes for successful contract execution.
