Limited fire at Mina Abdullah Refinery

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced yesterday a limited fire in the power station of Unit No. (131), which is a support unit affiliated with the environmental fuel project at the Mina Abdullah Refinery was controlled before it caused major damage.

The company said on its official account on the social networking site (X) — formerly Twitter — that the fire occurred due to an electrical short circuit and as a result two of the contractor’s workers suffered burns, reports Al-Rai daily.

They were given first aid at the site and then taken to nearby hospital for treatment.

The company stated the Unit 131, has since then been shut down for maintenance.
