“MoI” and “Cybersecurity” sign cooperation agreement

Today, the Ministry of Information (MoI) and the National Cyber Security Center signed a cooperation agreement in the field of cybersecurity, training and media. Undersecretary of the MoI, Dr. Nasser Muhaisen, said in a statement to KUNA on the sidelines of the signing that this agreement comes under the directives of Minister of Information Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and in implementation of the ministry’s strategy to create strategic partnerships with state institutions.

Mohsen highlighted that this cooperation will be reflected in developing the work mechanism, especially in the technical aspect, servers and technical receivers for Kuwait. The National Cyber Security Center will provide a set of services to the Ministry of Information, including continuous technical support during different periods of media work, as well as periodic inspection of digital devices and servers in radio, television and news studios.

The head of the National Cyber Security Center, retired Major General Engineer Mohammed Bouarki, confirmed in a similar statement that signing the agreement with the “Media” comes as it is considered one of the most important state institutions that works to strengthen the pillars of national awareness. Bouarki added that this agreement aims to train employees at the MoI to achieve the targeted level of awareness of cybersecurity, indicating that the center is keen to establish partnerships with various state institutions.
