European Council President Charles Michel to visit Kuwait
The visit includes official talks regarding the first summit between the EU and GCC countries, scheduled to take place in Brussels on October 16.
Ecaterina Casinge, the official spokesperson for the President of the European Council, announced today that European Council President Charles Michel will visit Kuwait and Bahrain from September 10 to 12, according to Q8-Press.
The visit will include official talks regarding the first summit between the European Union (EU) and GCC countries, scheduled in Brussels on October 16.
Casinge explained in a tweet on her X platform account that Michel “will meet with senior officials in Kuwait and Bahrain as part of preparations for the Brussels summit next October.”
At the end of last month, Michel visited Qatar and Saudi Arabia, where he held official talks focused on the first summit between the European Union and GCC countries.
Michel also met with Jassim Al-Badiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in Riyadh on August 29, discussing preparations for the upcoming Brussels summit.
