FM leads planning for Kuwait’s Fourth Dushanbe Conference
Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya coordinated with Tajikistan and the UN on strategies to enhance joint efforts against terrorism, violence, and extremism.
• Kuwait, Tajikistan, and the UN explored cooperation to strengthen capabilities against terrorism, exchanged experiences, and supported global security initiatives.
Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya held a virtual meeting with Sirajuddin Mehaldin, Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister, and Vladimir Voronkov, UN Counter-Terrorism Office Under-Secretary-General, to discuss preparations for Kuwait’s hosting of the Fourth Dushanbe Conference on November 4-5 this year.
The conference, titled “Strengthening International Cooperation in Combating Terrorism and Building Flexible Border Security Mechanisms – Kuwait’s Stage of the Dushanbe Process,” was the focus of their discussions, according to Al Anba newspaper.
During the meeting, they also discussed and coordinated several topics related to enhancing joint efforts to address terrorism, combat all forms of violence and extremism, and achieve positive outcomes in international collaboration against terrorism.
They explored various areas of cooperation to strengthen countries’ capabilities in confronting terrorist and extremist threats, exchanged experiences, and supported regional and international initiatives that contribute to global security and stability.
