Kuwait’s Abdali Port Set to Receive Food Supplies from Arab Countries and Europe on September 5

Ministry of Interior Completes Preparations for Efficient Import Process

The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the General Administration of Customs, has finalized all preparations at Abdali port to begin receiving food and vegetable shipments from Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, and Europe starting September 5.

A security source confirmed that special yards have been prepared to receive trucks carrying these goods. The imported food items will be transferred to Kuwaiti trucks through the “handling” system and then directed under security supervision to the land transport site. Here, the goods will undergo inspection, and samples will be presented to the competent authorities.

The Ministry has implemented a streamlined mechanism to expedite the transfer of goods to the local market, ensuring that food items are not exposed to spoilage due to delays in transportation and inspection processes.
