Mangaf fire case to be considered as a misdemeanor

The Mangaf Fire case will be considered as a misdemeanor and not a felony, because the technical reports proved that the fire was not intentional, Arabic daily Al Qabas reported.

A source familiar with the matter told the Arabic daily that the Public Prosecution has already referred the case to the General Directorate of Investigations of the Ministry of Interior.

The source pointed out that the prosecution, after investigating all the accused and remanding them were released, as there was no proof of criminal suspicion or intentions.

The judge had decided to release 8 defendants in the case, namely a Kuwaiti citizen, 3 Indians and 4 Egyptians on bail of KD 300 each.
