Indian minister thanks Kuwait Crown Prince for elevating bilateral ties

During the meeting, India’s External Affairs Minister said that India and Kuwait share centuries-old bonds of goodwill and friendship, and that the contemporary partnership between the two countries is expanding steadily.

  • Dr. S. Jaishankar’s visit to Kuwait will review and enhance bilateral relations across multiple sectors and discuss regional and international issues.

Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, called upon His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait.

The minister conveyed warm greetings from Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Crown Prince.

During the meeting, he said India and Kuwait share centuries-old bonds of goodwill and friendship, and the contemporary partnership between the two countries is expanding steadily. He thanked the Crown Prince for his guidance and insights on elevating their ties to a higher level.

Dr. S. Jaishankar arrived in Kuwait on Sunday morning for an official visit. Upon his arrival, he was received by Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.

During his one-day visit, the Indian minister will meet with the leadership of Kuwait. Later, he will also meet with members of the Indian community and representatives of Indian associations in Kuwait.

The Indian minister’s visit will allow both sides to review various aspects of bilateral relations, including political, trade, investment, energy, security, cultural, consular, and people-to-people contacts, as well as exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
