Ministry of Interior exposes fraudulent vehicle license scheme
An investigation reveals that some employees in the relevant authorities were colluding to facilitate the illegal inspection and renewal of vehicles in exchange for money.
The Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior stated on Saturday that the defendants transferred the residency permits of workers in the country to the company and registered their personal vehicles to obtain a higher number of vehicle operating licenses. These licenses were then submitted to the relevant authorities to inflate the estimated need, and driving licenses were issued to ineligible individuals in exchange for money, according to Al Jarida newspaper.
The efforts of the Residence Investigation Department officers, after intensifying their investigations, revealed that some vehicles did not exist. Additionally, it was found that some employees in the relevant authorities were colluding to facilitate the illegal inspection and renewal of vehicles in exchange for money.
