$52.9 B worth Kuwaiti transportation and construction projects in implementation stages

In a report issued by MEED magazine, there was an unexpected increase in awards for infrastructure and construction projects in Kuwait for the second year in a row, after achieving a strong performance in the first half of the current year, which raised the value of awarded construction contracts to more than 2.1 billion dollars, more than doubling the value. Contracts awarded in the first half of 2023, they alone amounted to about one billion dollars.

MEED stated that the contracts for transportation and construction projects in Kuwait are expected to rise significantly during 2024, after recording a level of $2.5 billion from the beginning of the year until the 9th of this month, divided into $1.3 billion contracts in the construction sector, and $1.2 billion transportation projects. This continues its remarkable recovery over the past year, when total awards reached $3.3 billion.
