School principals start the year with ‘triple fingerprint’ method

  • Approximately 900 school principals are coordinating with engineers to check air conditioning, sanitary facilities, and roof insulation, with cleaning operations scheduled to start next Thursday, the 15th.

Approximately 900 school principals across educational districts began the school year on Monday using the ‘triple fingerprint’ method. They assessed deficiencies, identified needs for facilities, labs, and classrooms, and will submit detailed reports to their educational districts, according to Al Rai newspaper.

School principals are coordinating with regional engineering departments to monitor air conditioning conditions, the number of new units installed, and the state of sanitary facilities, floors, and roof insulation. School cleaning operations will begin next Thursday, the 15th of this month, aligning with the cleaning workers’ schedules.

Similarly, the General Administration of Private Education is overseeing the preparations of Arab and foreign schools for the new academic year. It has distributed forms to school administrations to track the condition of the school buildings in five areas, classrooms, educational facilities, cafeteria, clinic, and health facilities. School administrations are required to record any observations, and the forms must be stamped with the seals of school principal and assistant principal.

The readiness model included several items within each of the five aspects. For classrooms, this covered the condition of the room, air conditioning, doors, windows, lighting, and furniture. Educational facilities were assessed based on the condition of science laboratories, studios, computers, the library, the prayer room, and the gymnasium.

The canteen was evaluated on the status of its license, permitted foods, adherence to pricing, refrigerators, general cleanliness, and canteen staff. The school clinic was reviewed for its status in providing medicines and raw materials, primary devices and their validity, clinic records, and overall cleanliness.

In the fifth and final aspect, health facilities, the model is divided into two sections: drinking water and toilets. The first section (drinking water) includes five items: the presence and safety of filters, the condition of refrigerators, the condition of extensions, the status of electrical connections, and cleanliness. The second section (toilets) also includes five items: doors, fans, sewage systems, extensions, and cleanliness.
