The sources emphasized that the Cabinet’s directive seeks to prevent any misuse of vacation time outside the legal and regulatory framework, noting that this matter has been the subject of discussions across multiple government agencies.

They noted that, for example, some individuals might try to convert their sick leave balance into regular leave after misusing it, in order to obtain additional sick leave with full salary and without deductions.
