Ministry confirms fresh water quality is safe for all customers

• The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy is addressing complaints about water color changes in Jahra Governorate and is conducting maintenance to ensure water quality.

Fresh water samples from various areas in Jahra Governorate were tested and found to be safe for consumption, according to Al Rai newspaper.

The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy stated that the quality of fresh water pumped into the network is monitored 24/7 through emergency centers across Kuwait’s six governorates.

The ministry reassures customers that fresh water samples from various areas in Jahra Governorate have been collected and tested, and the water has been found to be safe for consumption.

The ministry explained in a statement that it is addressing complaints from customers in some areas of Jahra Governorate about changes in the color of the fresh water reaching their homes. The ministry is conducting periodic maintenance of the water network to ensure water quality.

The ministry thanked citizens for their cooperation and requested that any changes in water quality or pressure be reported via the unified call center at 152 or through its official social media accounts. The public is encouraged to obtain information from official sources.
