Degree-holding expats to be let go from Municipality

The Minister of Public Works and the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs headed by Dr. Noura Al-Meshan, announced the relieving of all expatriates who hold university degrees from the municipality.

The text of a letter addressed to the Director General of Kuwait Municipality, on Monday, stated that “due to the availability of national cadres capable of working and managing tasks to the fullest, we direct you to terminate the services of all expatriates who hold specializations of law, engineering, accounting and all administrative specializations and issue decisions on the same within 3 working days.”

Al-Meshan also directed the preparation of a ministerial decision to terminate the services of incoming legal advisers in the legal and affiliated departments, during the same period mentioned above.
