“Travel Health Service” launched across Kuwait

Kuwaiti Ministry of Health launches a new "Travel Health Service" starting Sunday, providing comprehensive travel health support for residents.

• Services include pre-travel consultations, information on prevalent diseases at your destination, travel safety advice, and disease prevention guidance.

• The program also offers necessary vaccinations and preventive medications tailored to your specific travel itinerary.

• Clinics offering the service are located in all six governorates of Kuwait.

The Ministry of Health has launched the “Travel Health Service” through six clinics in all governorates of the country, starting tomorrow, Sunday. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al- Sanad said that the service provides health advice, information about diseases, safety during trips, and preventive services according to the travel destination.

He explained that the clinics designated to provide the “Travel Health Service” do so through a number of primary health care centers in all governorates of the country. The service is provided in the Raqai Health Center in Farwaniya Governorate on Sundays and Thursdays, while in Jahra Governorate the service is provided through the Eye Health Center on Sundays and Wednesdays. In Hawalli Governorate, Travel Health services are provided at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital on Mondays and Wednesdays. In the Capital Governorate, the service is provided through the Abdul Rahman Abdul Maghani Center in Fayhaa area, and in Ahmadi Governorate through the Ahmadi Health Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week. In Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, the service is provided through the Zahra Health Center.

“Work in these clinics will be during the morning hours during official working hours, and the “Travel Health Service” is provided throughout the year and on all days of the week, through the main clinic in the Public Health Department in Shuwaikh area,” he said.

He pointed out that among the services provided by these clinics are health advice before travel and after returning to the country, providing information about prevalent diseases, safety and disease prevention information during trips, providing the necessary vaccinations to prevent infectious diseases according to the travel destination, in addition to providing preventive medicines such as malaria drugs.
