Biometric fingerprint deadline extended for citizens, residents

The Ministry of Interior has instructed citizens to submit their biometric fingerprints by September 30 and residents by December 30.

  • The Ministry of Interior specified the official locations and working hours for biometric fingerprinting, which are set at the General Department of Criminal Evidence in the Personal Investigation Departments.

The Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday the extension of the deadline for citizens to submit biometric fingerprints until September 30 and for residents until December 30.

The ministry stated in a press release that this decision is based on the directives and instructions of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, aiming to facilitate procedures for citizens, residents, and the security establishment’s commitment to expeditiously completing the process.

The ministry also specified the official locations and working hours for biometric fingerprinting, which are set at the General Department of Criminal Evidence in the Personal Investigation Departments.

The ministry urged everyone to schedule an appointment through the ‘Meta’ platform via the ‘Sahel’ application before visiting the designated centers. It emphasized that no walk-in appointments will be accepted.
