Municipality issues 3 building violations, 7 warnings
In a separate development, Kuwait Municipality has reiterated the need for property owners to comply with approved building ratios and construction regulations, warning that field inspections will continue across the country’s six governorates to identify violations.
Fahd Al-Azmi, head of the municipality’s inspection team, said inspection teams regularly monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.
During a recent inspection tour in Hawalli Governorate, particularly in the Al-Salam area, the team issued a warning to a homeowner over a substantial increase in the permitted construction area. The owner was asked to respond promptly and submit the necessary permits to verify the additional built-up area.
Al-Azmi said the inspection campaign resulted in three violations being issued and seven warnings being delivered for breaches of building regulations. He stressed that inspection and monitoring teams would continue their field visits to properties suspected of violating construction requirements.
The municipality also urged owners of plots and houses to follow its official social media accounts for awareness messages and guidance on building regulations. Property owners were encouraged to contact the municipality to clarify applicable requirements, facilitate procedures and ensure compliance with the relevant rules and bylaws.
