Kuwait temperatures expected to drop 3 to 5°C by end of week

Temperatures in Kuwait are expected to fall by around 3 to 5 degrees Celsius by the end of this week and the beginning of October, meteorologist Issa Ramadan said, following the noticeable rise recorded across the country in recent days.

Ramadan said the warmer conditions are expected to continue through Sunday and Monday before temperatures begin to decline. The expected drop will ease the intensity of the summer heat, particularly during the night, while scattered clouds are likely to appear over Kuwait during the coming weekend.

Ramadan explained that the arrival of October usually marks the beginning of a gradual decline in the intensity of the heat. Kuwait is currently experiencing the Al-Sarfa period, traditionally associated with the departure of the heat, before gradually moving into the Al-Wasam season, which is characterized by increased chances of cloud formation and improving weather conditions.

He added that the coming period will bring a gradual change in weather, with the impact of extreme heat easing and conditions beginning to shift toward more moderate weather compared with the past several weeks.
