74 violators, wanted individuals arrested during Fahaheel campaign await deportation

- Kuwait authorities apprehend residency and labor-law violators during inspection of Fahaheel industrial area and commercial markets
The Kuwaiti authorities have arrested 74 residency and labor-law violators and persons wanted by law during a joint security campaign in Fahaheel, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior.
The campaign was carried out by the Criminal Security Sector of the Criminal Investigation Department and the Residence Affairs Investigation Department, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower.
The inspection covered Fahaheel’s industrial area and commercial markets as part of ongoing efforts to flush out residence and labor law violators from the country, as well as persons wanted by especially those reported absconding by their sponsors.
The 74 arrests comprised 36 Article 18 violators, 30 Article 20 violators, six absconders under Article 20, one Article 14 violator and one Article 22 violator, the ministry said.
The Ministry of Interior said legal and administrative procedures are being taken against those arrested ahead of their referral to the competent authorities.
