47 Kuwait University professors named to Stanford’s 2025 list of most influential scientists

The Acting Secretary of Kuwait University and Vice President for Medical Sciences, Dr. Noura Al-Suwaih, announced that 47 KU faculty members have been included in Stanford University’s 2025 list of the world’s most influential scientists.
She described the distinction as a significant milestone that highlights the strength of Kuwait University’s scientific output and the progress of its research and innovation ecosystem, reports Al-Rai daily.

Speaking in a comprehensive presentation delivered at the Government Communication Center on Monday, Al-Suwaih reviewed the university’s key achievements across education, scientific research, sustainability, and university services.
She emphasized that these accomplishments support the university’s strategic pursuit of quality, innovation, and a stronger national and international presence.

The presentation also revealed that Kuwait University has registered 87 patents and carried out more than 5,104 funded research projects, including 475 projects supported by external grants.
Al-Suwaih affirmed that this robust research activity positions the university as a national hub for knowledge production and scientific advancement, reinforcing its standing on the global scientific research map.
