4,000 citizens, residents face travel bans in seven months

Recent legal amendments related to travel bans and debt collection have contributed to a decline in the number of travel ban orders.
Recent statistics from the Ministry of Justice’s Statistics and Research Department show that the Enforcement Department issued nearly 4,000 travel bans against citizens and residents between January 1 and July 31, 2025, reported Al Qabas newspaper.
During the same period, 21,539 travel bans were lifted. The number of arrest and debtor summons requests reached 12,325, while requests for travel bans totaled 42,662. In the Family Court, 2,398 travel bans were issued, with 1,262 lifted.
