400 Husayniyahs comply with deadline, register on Ministry of Islamic Affairs platform

The new bylaw will regulate administrative and financial operations

Around 400 Husayniyahs and majlises have registered the details of their administrators on the electronic platform of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs within the designated timeframe, which began on March 18 and ended in mid-April.

Informed sources told Al-Rai that, based on initial statistics, there are still some Husayniyahs which have not registered their information within the specified timeframe.
The ministry is currently working to develop legal, administrative, and financial regulations for Husayniyahs, and determining the responsible entity, in collaboration with relevant government agencies and organizations overseeing these centers across the country.

Officials are also in continuous communication with those in charge of Husayniyahs to ensure their operations comply with legal and administrative standards. The ministry aims to activate the role of these religious buildings as stipulated in the decree that established them.

Additionally, the sources highlighted that the new bylaw will regulate the administrative and financial operations of Husayniyahs, placing them under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ supervision.

This includes periodic reviews of financial records and budgets, as part of enhancing governance and strengthening the relationship between the ministry and religious centers.
