4 bedoun in police custody following major drug bust

The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the arrest of four bedoun found in possession of significant quantities of narcotic and psychotropic substances, in a continuing effort to combat drug trafficking and safeguard public security.

According to an official press release, the arrests led to the seizure of 15,000 Lyrica capsules, 100 grams of cocaine, 500 grams of unidentified chemical substances, 250 grams of hashish, and 80 psychotropic pills.

The authorities also confiscated a sensitive digital scale and 10,590 Kuwaiti dinars in cash (approximately $34,461), suspected to be proceeds from the sale of drug.

The Ministry confirmed that legal procedures had been initiated against the suspects, who will be referred to the competent judicial authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
