36 law violators arrested, caught working on PAM Mutlaa Housing Project

The Public Authority for Manpower has announced the arrest of 36 workers – violators of residence and labor laws.

They were rounded up while they were working on a housing project in the Al-Mutlaa City. belonging to the Public Authority for Housing Affairs

In a press statement, the PAHW said the crackdown is part of its ongoing efforts to regulate the labor market and tighten oversight of project sites.

Acting on directives from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, a joint inspection campaign was carried out in coordination with the Residence Affairs Investigations Department.

Among those arrested are 15 domestic workers and 21 persons contracted to work on farms. All the arrested people have been referred to the Residence Affairs Investigations Department for further legal action.

The Authority affirmed that such inspection campaigns will continue in cooperation with relevant bodies to ensure a lawful and organized work environment across all projects. It also urged employers to comply with labor laws and avoid hiring illegal workers, warning that violators will face strict legal consequences.
